The materials of the room walls or the '3D object' walls are selected from the Materials Data Base. The material data specify among others the frequency dependence of the sound absorption coefficients which is graphically represented in the diagram.

The field 'Description' contains some explanatory notes for the selected material.

The color field shows the 'Material Texture' as it is used in the 3D view of the room design and also in the 2D views of the 'Floor', 'Ceiling', or 'Walls'.

The 'Material Groups' summarize materials used for similar applications.
